O'Neills Bournemouth

During the summer months I tried to keep some momentum going in my practice by using an unused space on the fourth floor of the O'Neills building to create some site specific work. The space was amazing and I was given a free reign. I had been thinking a lot about the horizontal and vertical line and had begun to create grids using fishing wire. This material really excites me, i like how delicate it looks but how physically strong it becomes under tension.
I created grids in the door frame using brass hooks to attach the wire into the actual frame. I exhibited some of this documentation in a collaborative exhibition 'BAFAGB', but felt it didn't translate through photographs.
